Cordless nail guns are a type of nailer that provides additional levels of portability and convenience, due to the fact that they do not require compressed air to run. This allows them to be more conveniently used in environments where an air compressor may be unsuitable to run. There are two main mechanisms that cordless nailers run on, these are battery powered cordless nailers and gas powered cordless nailers. Battery powered cordless nailers function mainly on Lithium-ion batteries, which provide the tool with enough power to fire its nails when the trigger is pulled. Gas powered cordless nailers use both a battery and fuel cell to power the tool and fire its nails. The battery powered motor ignites the fuel cell, which helps the tool to drive its nails. This helps provide additional power that a battery only nailer is occasionally unable to provide.
